Should venues close bars during live performances?

The 3Arena has announced that its bars will be closed during an upcoming gig.

BARS IN THE 3Arena will be closed during David Gray’s performance at the venue tomorrow night.

“Once David Gray goes on stage, all bars will close and will remain closed for the duration of the show,” the 3Arena announced on social media.

The decision comes after complaints of disorderly crowd behaviour at Gray’s performance at the Dublin venue last month. After the concert, the singer-songwriter posted a video on social media and described the audience as “a bit out of control”.

So today we’re asking: Should venues close bars during live performances?

Poll Results:

No – they should stay open at all gigs (1677)
Yes – but they should reopen during an interlude (1428)
Yes – they should close for the entire performance (1282)
Unsure (138)
